How long does a custom piece take?

Creating a custom object or piece of jewelry/object is a collaborative process. The first step is a consultation to discuss your ideas, followed by an agreement on the design. Depending on the complexity of the design, this process typically takes 4 to 12 weeks. Simpler pieces, such as a minimalist ring or a tray, can be completed in 4 to 8 weeks, while more complex items, such as interior objects or detailed awards, or engagement and wedding rings, may require 8 to 12 weeks. I send photos regularly throughout the entire process, so there is always room for adjustments.

Budget

I understand that every project has its budget, and I will gladly try to propose a solution that fits your budget. The final price depends on the complexity of the design, processing, materials used, and any other details, such as special packaging, etc.

Payment

During the first consultation (which is free of charge), we will agree on the budget and timeline, size, materials, and other details – based on which I will create a price quote for you. Once approved, the order becomes binding. If needed, payment for the order can be split into a deposit and a final payment. The deposit constitutes 30% of the total amount, and the final payment is made upon completion of the order, or the entire order can be paid in one payment.

Design preparation

After you explain your vision to me, I usually start with a mood board, followed by sketches. Your participation in this phase is important – through discussions or adjustments, we will fine-tune the design until it is perfect. For wedding rings (or other rings), this phase also includes fitting prototype/wax models.

My creative process is deeply personal, driven by stories and emotions, not by the desire to replicate an existing designs. I do not work with provided reference images from other designers or copy existing designs. I strive to capture the essence of what you are looking for, but each design is original and created through my artistic perspective and unique style. While I reserve the right to have creative control throughout the design process, I value collaboration and am happy to incorporate adjustments based on your feedback after consultations and thorough consideration.

For jewelry, I use bronze, silver, or gold, and if desired, I can incorporate various precious stones and pearls. For interior objects, corporate gifts, or trophies, I use wood and brass. Each material imparts a unique character to the piece, and together we can decide which combination best expresses your vision. My philosophy is to balance elegance and naturalness, to find beauty in the inherent properties of the material while adapting the design to your personal taste.
